Easy Pay
In Thailand, it is very common to pay using QR codes. Until now, only residents of Thailand have benefited from this option due to the requirement to have an account in one of the Thai banks. Thanks to TAGTHAi and the Pay & Tour e-wallet from Kasikorn Bank, this method is now also available to foreign tourists. But how do you get access to this form of payment?
If you want to be able to pay using QR codes and receive a Pay & Tour prepaid card, you must first submit an application in person at any Kasikorn Bank exchange office (green booths). The bank’s exchange offices are easy to find, so the whole procedure is simple and does not take much time.
Important. When applying, you must show your passport and the money to be exchanged. The minimum age of the applicant is 20 years. One person can only have one such e-wallet. The maximum transaction size is 100,000 THB. You will find all the detailed information in the Easy Pay section or on the Kasikorn Bank website.
After receiving the card and access to the e-wallet, you open the TAGTHAi application and add the card. You select Easy Pay as the payment method. Then you enter your passport number and card reference number. After entering the numbers, you proceed to enter the PIN code – you assign the code when submitting the application at the Kasikorn Bank exchange office. The penultimate step is to check the data, and if everything is correct, press confirm. After successful verification, you can freely pay using QR codes.
Of course, having an e-wallet is not a requirement, and you can choose to pay in cash.
VAT Refund
