Daen Krathing in translation means Bull Land. Unfortunately, there is no equivalent in English on the Google map – there is only the Thai แดนกระทิง. This point is classified as a café, but in our opinion it is a combination of a café and a park offering various activities.
And now it’s time to clarify the detail we mentioned at the beginning.
Daen Krathing is a Live and Learn venue. It is part of a vocational development project and belongs to the Nong Krathing temporary prison. Here, prisoners who will soon be released learn various trades, such as making coffee, growing plants and vegetables, maintaining cars, fish farming, sculpting, plastering, and how to open a coffee shop or bakery.
The aim of the activity is to prepare these people to practically apply the skills they have learned, which they can use after they are released. In this way, taking care of the mind, body, and attitude is to bring good citizens back to society.
What to do at Daen Krathing?
Since it’s a café, you can go there to try drinks and have a snack. There are tree houses and terraces where you can sit and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. The place is also well shaded, which is useful on hot days.
Another attraction, especially for children, is the playground. There are swings, slides, ladders, and other play equipment.
You can also see animals in Daen Krathing. There are chickens in the pens, crickets in special boxes, and you can see a few beagles in the doghouse. You can feed the dogs by buying food for only 10 THB. In addition, there are points in the café where you can take photos.
Moreover, souvenirs made by prisoners are offered for sale. You can buy clothes, handbags, hats, shoes, wood products, and other handicrafts.

The prices at Daen Krathing are friendly. For example, an iced coffee costs 55 THB. For about 100 THB, you can buy a drink with a snack. If you are going to have dinner, the price of the meal can be 100-200 THB.
As you can see, the café is affordable in terms of budget. When we went there, we ordered drinks and snacks. We liked them very much, and another advantage is the good taste of the drinks and food.
